For International Women’s Day, we held an Instagram contest for women owned businesses around the Twin Cities. The randomly selected winner was The Beauty Lounge. This women owned salon happens to be right in down the way from our Uptown studio.

We showed up to their light filled hair salon and were able use said natural light for portraits inside. The sidewalk outside their front door was perfectly shaded for outdoor headshots and provided a great neighborhood-like backdrop.

We finished off the session by doing some storytelling/lifestyle images in the salon while the stylists worked. Overall, we were so happy to promote this women owned business and give them images that showcased the good work they do for the Minneapolis/St. Paul communities.
